Editing and Proofreading That Actually Moves You Forward
Editing is the one form of academic support with clear, published limits, and we work inside them. We correct language and consistency and we flag anything unclear back to you. We do not change your argument, add content or improve your results, because that would stop being editing.
A proofread that respects technical writing
Equations, variable names, code listings and units survive the pass intact, which is not true of a general proofreader.
Clarity editing with tracked changes
You see every change and you accept or reject each one, so the document stays yours and you can declare the support.
Consistency across a long document
Terminology that drifts between chapters, headings that do not match the contents page, figures numbered twice.
Reference list and style checking
Harvard, APA, IEEE, Vancouver. We check the list against the style guide and tell you what to correct.
What You Get, and Where We Stop
Included
- Grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence clarity
- Consistency of terminology, notation, units and headings
- Reference list formatting checked against your required style
- Comments flagging anything unclear for you to resolve
Where we stop
We work at sentence level on text you wrote. We do not rewrite arguments, add citations, insert new content or change your findings, and every change is tracked so you can see and accept each one.
Read the full boundary on our scope page, or see how pricing works. If a request crosses the line we decline it rather than quote for it.

Editing and Proofreading FAQ
Is proofreading allowed by my university?
Most UK and Australian universities permit language editing and expect you to declare it. We keep every change tracked so you can show exactly what was done. Check your own institution's policy, and if it forbids third party proofreading, do not book.
Will you improve my argument?
No. That is content editing and it crosses the line. We flag unclear reasoning in a comment and you decide what to do about it.
Do you edit code and equations?
We leave code and notation as written and only flag inconsistencies. Nothing is silently reformatted.
